Devoted Owners

The owners of Asheville Cottages are so devoted to their guests! Marshall and his boys actually spent the night in one of their empty cottages, JUST SO they could be around to shovel everybody out if it snowed! And it did snow... another 10 inches...

What do JANUARY rains bring?

If April rains bring May flowers, apparently, January rain brings flooding. The boys and I saw two rainbows on the way to school this morning! Driving to the Cottages, I saw the road by the French Broad River was VERY WET -- turns out, the waters must have surged over the banks at some point in the last few hours! A beautiful, powerful sight...and a little scary! (Not to worry; the cottages are on higher ground!)
